Savills is set to market a collection of stylish new and renovated homes - generating fresh funds for Camden Council to invest in council and other affordable homes, schools and community facilities.

The Camden Collection, led by Camden Council and supported by Savills as appointed sales agent, is a unique portfolio of developments perfectly positioned for enjoying London life.

The homes are part of Camden Council’s Community Investment Programme, a 15 year plan which uses the development of private homes and land to unlock funds to build new council and affordable homes, schools and community facilities. The plans will create 1,400 new affordable homes and 1,650 private homes.

The recently published Housing White Paper calls on “local authorities to be as ambitious and innovative as possible” to get homes built. Camden’s Community Investment Programme is already in its sixth year.

The first three developments have launched: XY near King’s Cross, Holly Lodge Mansions in Highgate and Plender Street in Mornington Crescent. Each is unique (see further detail below) but the developments are all stylish in their own right and benefit from a highly sought after location in the heart of Camden.

Councillor Phil Jones, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport at Camden Council, said: “We’ve taken an innovative approach through our Community Investment Programme, selling private homes and underused land and buildings to pay for community facilities fit for the future and genuinely affordable housing.”

Amy Clover at Savills said: “The Camden Collection is stylish, aspirational and perfect for London living. There is something to suit everyone. The spacious Holly Lodge Mansions is ideal for families, Plender Street is suited to the first-time buyer market and XY is ideally located for young professionals looking to make the most of the vibrant London lifestyle and easy access to the City.”
